You can visit us and enjoy our hospitality in several different ways
Which ever option you choose, you can be assured that your stay with us will be peaceful and comfortable.
So, if you are looking for accommodation or thinking of visiting the Cambridge area, Contact Us for more information and availability.
| The accommodation that we offer is one very large room with a large en suite bathroom. The room has ample storage space (wardrobes, cupboards etc), a sofa, coffee table and small dining table and chairs, 'kitchen area', and is usually configured as a twin bedded room. However, the sofa is a sofa bed which we can make up as a very comfortable double bed, in which case we can change the room around to accommodate the twin beds either as two singles or 'bunked' for family use. We can also bring in another single bed if required, so that the room can sleep up to 5 people - ideal for a family. |

Breakfast is served in the dining room (or the patio if the weather permits) of the cottage, just a short walk across the lawn, at a time convenient to our guests. We offer the traditional English cooked breakfast of Bacon, Sausage, Eggs (fried, poached, scrambled), mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread, baked beans etc. or continental breakfast of croissants, pain au chocolat etc. together with breakfast cereals, fruit juices, yogurts, tea, coffee. |

We would like your stay with us to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. We realise that being in a village location and not offering evening meals ourselves could limit your enjoyment, so we offer (for a small charge) transport to and from a pub or restaurant of your choice within a 10 mile radius - and there are quite a few good ones to choose from! However, Great Chishill is very lucky to have its own excellent pub - The Pheasant - serving very good food, and it is less that 100 yds from the Garden Room! It is a good idea to book, so either give them a call on 01763 838535 or we can book it for you. |
|
| The Garden Room is very well equipped for Bed and Breakfast accommodation but it also has basic cooking facilities - sink, kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, crockery and cutlery - but it does not have a cooker. It cannot therefore be considered suitable as a 'holiday let', but we are quite happy to offer it on a 'no breakfast, day-to-day' basis. |

This is Bed and Breakfast hospitality with a difference! We realise that not everyone has a car or wants to use a car when on holiday, so this service is a complete package for visitors who live or are already staying in the UK. We can collect you from local public transport services such as those listed in the table on the right. Just tell us what time you are arriving and we will meet and greet you. We will bring you back to your accommodation in The Garden Room and supply you with whatever refreshments you need following your journey. You will take breakfast in the cottage as described above and we will take you to your chosen venue for dinner in the evening and collect you when you are ready to return. We can organise an itinery of events and visits in the area according to your taste - sight seeing tours, museums, shopping, punting, stately homes, nature reserves - you name it - and if its possible, we will organise it for you. At the end of your stay we will take you back to your public transport departure point. |
